Revelation 14:9-11 … If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
The Mind of the Image & the Minds of the Masses
The Image of the Beast
Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
If you are a first time reader, I suggest that you read Singularity and The Image of the Beast about man merging with machines and Genetic Armageddon about man’s DNA being altered. Together they show scientists are on the verge of creating a transhuman: a beast that is part human and part something else. Creating a transhuman is right on top of us!
I believe that tampering with the integrity of man is a KEY sign of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. God will put a stop to this at His return. It appears from Revelation 13:15 that man will succeed in creating a transhuman, which the Bible calls “The Image of the Beast.” What I am posting is NOT science fiction.
From charting the advancement toward a transhuman being, it is possible to get an idea how close man is to God’s judgment. God must stop the creation of transhumans because these creatures are not created in His image and likeness; therefore, they cannot be redeemed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What I do in this blog is keep the reader on the cutting edge of technology advancements that are directly leading to the Image of the Beast. These advancements are reported under headings that include: Computer Brain, Digitized Mind, Robotic Body, Cyborg, Genetic Armageddon, Chimera, and Advanced Technology.
This blog is the complement to the “666 Surveillance System” which focuses on technological innovations leading to the rise of a government so repressive and controlling that it’s called a “Beast” state.
Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Technology is moving ahead so rapidly it’s almost impossible to keep up with it, even for those of us who are trying our best to do just that. But with each passing week, it becomes more clear what the Image of the Beast will be, how it may work, and how society will respond to it. The main focus of the first few articles in this post are on ways that they are manipulating the brains of individuals, and new technologies that will make mind control and brain transformation easy to achieve.
The articles discuss people who have willingly given their brains over to computers so that researchers can study how others respond to a computer which appears to be a normal human being. Then there are advances in brain research that use mesh which bonds to normal cells, so that electronics can be implanted in brains non-invasively by needle. Researchers and futurists are delighted because this could be the basis for creating the first bionic brain – part human, part electronic.
If that wasn’t enough though, the most recent ‘advancement’ is a wireless neural implant, so that drugs can be delivered or behavior controlled remotely. Even the article acknowledges there’s potential for disaster with this newest breakthrough, since the possibility for hacking is definitely present. But were that not the case, why anyone except an overbearing Beast system would think this is a great development is the question we should be putting to researchers.
It’s becoming all too clear how the Image of the Beast will come about, and how easily people will be swayed by it – whether on their own or through mass control of humanity’s minds. Time is becoming extremely short, and it will take a concerted effort not to become a victim of what’s coming. Only a clear focus on Jesus Christ, and seeking spiritual maturity through His Word will matter in the days ahead, because the world is changing so rapidly that soon it will be unrecognizable from the one we’ve always known. If you haven’t studied prophecy before now, it’s time to get up to speed both on that and on shifting your attention to the eternal.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
*The People ‘possessed’ by Computers* This is a very interesting article because it demonstrates where technology is leading, and how easy it will be for most people to accept the Image of the Beast, and to follow any commands of it. Because of that, the quote is longer than usual, but it’s enough to give you a great picture of where we’re heading and how the Image of the Beast may actually function.
This demonstrates the possible direct interaction between the Beast and his Image, and the ramifications for the rest of the population, who easily can be controlled by being connected to a “hive mind” which can implant thoughts and will into them.
“What would happen if a computer could take over a human body? David Robson meets an “echoborg” – a strange experiment that reveals our future with artificial intelligence. Sophia Ben-Achour looks like a typical London student…You would never believe her mind is being controlled by a bunch of processors more than 200 miles away.
Being possessed by a computer isn’t too disconcerting, she later tells me. “Today was the first time I thought, ‘Eugh, I’m just a body and nothing else’.” To be technical, Sophia is an “echoborg” – a living, breathing person who has temporarily given themselves over to become a robot’s mouthpiece. Whatever she says originated in a chatbot across the internet, and is then fed to her through a small earpiece.
It sounds a little like dystopian science fiction. But in fact, the bizarre set-up has a serious purpose. The researchers at the London School of Economics want to understand the way that the body and appearance of artificial intelligence can shape our perception. It’s particularly crucial to our understanding of AI because in the future we may be surrounded by machines that are indistinguishable from ourselves – and we need to know how we will react.
“Most of the time we encounter AI today, it’s in a very mechanical interface,” says Kevin Corti, one of the researchers. His answer was to use a human body, with a robot mind. “This was a way of doing it so that people actually believe they are encountering another person.”
Corti and his supervisor…were inspired by work on “cyranoids” – an experiment invented by the controversial psychologist Stanley Milgram. He is most famous for his notorious experiment on obedience – in which he asked subjects to inflict electric shocks, of increasing voltage, on another person. Even when it looked like the shocks were becoming dangerously painful, many continued – apparently showing how easily we will harm another rather than question authority.
By the end of his life, however, Milgram seems to have turned his mind to the gentler subject of body perception. When we are talking to someone, do we really listen to what they are saying? Or are our opinions pre-formed, based solely on what a person looks like?
So-called “cyranoids” are A similar set-up, Milgram realised, would be the perfect way ohumans who have allowed another person to dictate what they say and do.f testing how much our body shapes perceptions [of] our mind. So he set up experiments in which a “cyranoid” is fed words from another person in another room, through a small radio transmitter in the ear. Milgram was amazed to discover that most people have lengthy, 20-minute conversations with the cyranoid without noticing that anything was amiss. “The fact that everything the other person said originated in the mind of a distal source… simply doesn’t enter into the picture,” he wrote.”
“From mind-control to boosting intelligence, brain implants are a popular feature of sci-fi films. Now scientists have engineered flexible electronics that can be injected into brain tissue through a needle to mesh with biological brain cells. This mesh of electrodes can unfold once in position and has so far been used to monitor brain activity in mice – suggesting it may be capable of similar feats in humans one day.
Previous research has shown that electronics can be surgically implanted but this is the first time that electronics have been implanted in tissues non-invasively. ‘We have introduced a new strategy for delivering electronics to the internal regions of 3D man-made and biological structures that involves the syringe injection of submicrometre-thickness, large-area macroporous mesh electronics,’ the researchers wrote.
The mesh-shaped electronics were injected via a needle with a diameter of just 0.1 millimetres…They unfolded to their original shape in less than an hour with widths more than 30 times that of the needle once they were injected into two distinct brain regions in live mice. The electronics retained approximately 80 per cent of their original configuration with no loss of function.
The experts behind this innovation said flexible and stretchable electronics could be used to continually monitor tissues, such as the workings of the brain or heart. In the near future, the research could be extended to implant multifunctional or wireless devices into mice.
In the longer term, the innovation could even be used to make a human bionic brain, by co-injecting mesh electronics ‘with cells into host systems for unique engineering and biomedical applications,’ the study said. It has previously been claimed that in just 30 years, humans will be able to upload their minds to computers to become digitally immortal – an event called singularity.”
“Neuroscientists … have developed an ultra-thin, minimally invasive device for controlling brain cells with drugs and light, and demonstrated that the device allows for wireless brain control by remotely drugging and controlling mice.
“Optogenetics is a relatively new neuroscience approach that combines genetics with the physics of light. It uses light to monitor and control neurons that have been genetically modified to sense and respond to light. Optogenetics allows neuroscientists to control and monitor the activities of individual neurons in living tissue. Wireless Brain Implant Technology for Remote Drug Delivery and Neural Control
. The scientists provide detailed instructions for manufacturing the implant, and express support for an open, crowdsourcing approach to neuroscience. The technology has enormous implication for detailed studies of the brain and future clinical applications. On the other hand, it opens the way to brain implants that could be used by malicious neuro-hackers to drug and remotely control people.”
How the Internet is Becoming Part of Us This is a page you need to see – the expansive graphics can’t be reproduced here, but they give an idea of where technology is heading and what our future looks like, according to those who currently have the means to drive research and development. What that means is that those who will be creating the Image of the Beast have definite goals and are close to the point of being able to accomplish them.
“Professor Yuval Noah Harari … says the merging of man and machine will be the “greatest evolution in biology.”
“I think it is likely in the next 200 years or so Homo sapiens will upgrade themselves into some idea of a divine being, either through biological manipulation or genetic engineering of by the creation of cyborgs, part organic part non-organic. It will be the greatest evolution in biology since the appearance of life. Nothing really has changed in four billion years biologically speaking. But we will be as different from today’s humans as chimps are now from us.”
But what role will the internet and all its devices – ever smaller and ever closer to us – play in this great evolution. The BBC and Dassault Systemes have prepared the following infographic….”
Singularity/ High Technology
“The singularity, a term coined by science fiction writer Vernor Vinge and popularized by futurist Ray Kurzweil, strikes fear into some of those familiar with artificial intelligence. Simply put, The singularity will come to pass once artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence. Those that fear the singularity worry that we will create an artificial life form to do our bidding, which will, in an ironic twist, rise up and enslave us.
Now, I am not one to worry about the Cylons rising up and usurping their human masters. However, the fact remains that our romance with computer technology is not only heating up, it is accelerating the evolution of what I call silicon based life forms (SBLs).
We have become increasing dependent on our silicon-based helpers, those computing systems with ever-increasing processing capabilities that crunch our numbers and increase our productivity, enable our Internet-based communications and perform our trusted transactions.
The result of our dependence on SBLs is that they have bound us with soft shackles of convenience and a sense of connectedness. And though we can’t call it war, we are engaged in a battle for control over our helpers, lest they suddenly stop working, or worse, start working for someone else.”
These Superhumans Are Real and Their DNA Could Be Worth Billions What is occurring here in the race for profits through genetic manipulation is drug companies use of people with genetic mutations, in order to develop “treatments” for those with chronic problems. For instance, a mutation which prevents people from feeling pain is being exploited to treat those with pain by developing a genetic treatment which can transfer this mutation in usable form to alter the genetic make-up of those with pain. While this holds promise in one sense, the possible negative ramifications are being ignored.
“Drug companies are exploiting rare mutations that make one person nearly immune to pain, another to broken bones. Steven Pete can put his hand on a hot stove or step on a piece of glass and not feel a thing, all because of a quirk in his genes. Only a few dozen people in the world share Pete’s congenital insensitivity to pain. Drug companies see riches in his rare mutation. They also have their eye on people like Timothy Dreyer, 25, who has bones so dense he could walk away from accidents that would leave others with broken limbs. About 100 people have sclerosteosis, Dreyer’s condition.
What’s good for patients is also good for business. Drugmakers are also investing in acquisitions and partnerships to get their hands on genetic information that could lead to more drugs. Amgen bought an Icelandic biotechnology company…to acquire its massive database on more than half of Iceland’s adult population. Genentech…has sold its $99 DNA spit kits to 1 million consumers who want to find out more about their health and family history—more than 80 percent have agreed to have their data used for research…And Regeneron has signed a deal with Pennsylvania’s Geisinger Health System to sequence the genes of more than 100,000 volunteers.”
“Don’t freak out if you see a 40-foot bus resembling a coffin sometime soon. It’s the “Immortality Bus” — a “pro-science symbol of resistance against aging and death” to be driven across the U.S. by futurist and 2016 Transhumanist Party presidential candidate Zoltan Istvan, along with scientists and supporters.
“We’re trying to spread a culture that looks positively at indefinite human lifespans,” Istvan told KurzweilAI. “In addition to rallies and events, we hope to visit a number of universities, where futurist and transhumanist student groups have been popping up. We hope to have these groups on board the bus and offer advice on pursing careers in technology, artificial intelligence, and medicine. Our hope is to get youth to pursue science and engineering, instead of, let’s say, advertising or accounting.
“We also plan to visit homes with disabled war veterans, discuss new technologies that might help them live better, like exoskeleton suits, and hold events for LGBT communities that are increasingly considering virtual reality and other new tech as part of their social lives. We hope these collective efforts will help broaden the horizon of the futurist, transhumanist, and longevity communities that are all using technology to move society forward.”
